what have I been up to......
Well, I have been waist deep in kit building, instruction writing, and die cutting for about two weeks, on top of the regularly scheduled activities our in my household in preparation for two super hugh events in my spring teaching schedule. First up is Version Scrap! in Paris, France,April 4-7th, closely followed by Inspired Artist Workshop, in North Carolina with my good friend Donna Downey ! The little photo on the right makes me happy...... my son went to work for me last week making the cute little buttons to give away to students in Paris, Michael is a pretty good little button maker and managed to make quite a few in just a couple hours, I will put this skill to use again soon! I love to make my own button pins I bought a super fun button maker last year from Dr. Dons Buttons and I have used it lots! In my frenzy to get more done than is humanly possible I am constantly making lists of things I need to do. while shopping for crafty odds and ends at Michaels last week I came across the cutest little Magnetic list pads
..... I liked them so much I bought 4, they were in the dollar bin only a buck a piece! Tomorrow morning we are heading out for the happiest place on earth, you guessed it Disneyland for a couple days of fast -paced spring break fun. ALyssa's dance company is dancing in a show in Disneyland so we built a little vacation around it. For the first time ever each of our kids is bringing along a friend on the trip, this may keep Mike and I off some of those rides that we don't tolerate well any more! I am sure it will be fun and exhausting. When we return my Brother Joe and his family will be in town for a little visit from Montana, can't wait to see his kids it has been almost three years since they moved and boy have they grown!

Cute buttons! Sounds like you are busy, busy! You are the busiest chick I know. Lots of fun things coming up for you. :)
Have a ball in Disneyland and travel home safe.

I noticed your Duran Duran cover to the left. I've got 2 tickets to their concert! You should go see them, they're touring right now.
The last time I saw them in concert was in 1985, I think.... It was the 7 and the Ragged Tiger tour..... Ahh, those were the days (I was a moody teenager! LOL) but these days are even better! I can't believe my husband is coming with me, by the way. I thought he'd ask me to take my girlfriend, Sharon....
Anyway, great music over there. I like Maroon 5 too. 'A Little of Your Time' (or whatever it's called) is one of my favorites.
I'm so jealous that you're going to Paris! That is so cool! Well, I guess you've been there by now, eh?

loved your life is beautiful class at inspired - it is so pretty and i think its the one thing i actually completed over the weekend! (p.s. my daughter thinks the album is glass and she's a little bit afraid of it)

Tena, thanks so much for your class. I LOVE the colors we used and every time I see the inked and painted word "Beautiful" on the color I say to myself, "yes, it is!" Sometimes out loud, even. :)
I have never painted on patterned paper and your class was the first time I used alcohol inks. It won't be the last time for either. Thank you for expanding my creativity and opening my eyes to new and beautiful ways to do things. Perhaps the most important lesson I learned at Inspired was to stop limiting myself in creating and that was a huge lesson. Thank you.

Oops - should have been "on the cover" rather than "on the color"

It was last summer when I heard about your participation in the Inspired event. And I recall how excited I was to hear that. Then I finally got the chance to take a full-blown class with you this weekend and realize why you do what you do. Your inspiration, creativity and friendly demeanor is what a scrapbooker like me needs. The inspiration is still overflowing right now.
I am now counting down the days till I get the opportunity to play with you again.
Hope you are resting and feeling better, dear Tena. :)
