Senior Prom.... Wow !

Img_1412_2Last night was Alyssa's big night at the Senior Prom. After weeks of planning, and prepping she was off! The preparations started with the dress which is always the tricky part for her, she is almost 5'7 now and still between a size 0 and 2 so  it can be tricky to find a dress that fits.  We went back to the store we found her homecoming dress at and once more got lucky with this cute Emerald green stapless dress, it fit her perfect! Next it was off to Dillards for the perfect sparkley shoes to compliment the dress, once more we hit the jackpot and found some sassy, strappy, diamond studded ones that were perfect.... and marked down!Img_1414 Alyssa went on to make her appointments to get her hair done, nails and pedicures, and planned some time to work on her tan. We have a great little sparkly jewelry store near us called Dazzle and we made a little trip there to find some fun jewelry and a rhinestone headband to compliment her look!   Alyssa went to the Prom with her boyfriend David and we  thought he did a fabulous job matching his tux to her dress she told him her dress was emerald green and his tux and tie was almost a perfect match!Img_1419 Alyssa and David went to the prom in a group of 10 other couples they got together and rented a party bus so they could all ride together, they were pretty excited.  They met  for photos at a favorite local location the fountains at Las Sendas, where I took most of these photos, their bus picked them up these and took them to dinner at a restaurant in Scottsdale, Chelsea's Kitchen, then it was on the Villa Sienna for the  Red Mountain High School Prom.  Alyssa's best friend Kristin was in a different prom group than Alyssa so she came over to the house before prom for some pictures with ALyssa she looked so cute.Img_1403 I am sure her and Alyssa will be comparing Prom notes tomorrow morning. After Prom Alyssa is having a fun sleepover with some of the girls in her prom group, how fun.Img_1437 Speaking of the girls, here is a photo of most of the girls in Alyssa's group, I just love all the bright colored dresses, looks like short dresses were definitely the trend this year! Here are a few of the couples in her group! great looking kids!Img_1423

How FUN--shoe and dress shopping!! You're so lucky to have a girl. She looked gorgeous wearing your fav color! Smile. Some of those guys look like they are 25 yrs old! My niece's prom is 5/10 so she's excited. She's going with a new boyfriend. They are doing the limo thing. Thx for sharing your photos so we can live through you. LOL!

Geez your daughter looked just beautiful! That green dress was just her perfect color. All the kids looked amazing. How fun for you! My poor brother-in-law plays on the Red Mountain baseball team and they had a game the same night as prom so most of those kids missed most of prom and showed up right at the end in baseball uniforms to dance the last song.
I just received photos of them today. Thanks for sharing all those great pics Tena!

She is just GORGEOUS...oh and I LOVE her dress!!!!!

Oh Tina, what a beautiful moment to have captured so well... don't you just wish sometimes we could freeze that moment in time where our girls truly look & feel beautiful & full of confidence? Some big steps ahead & what a great Mom you are to share the excitement of NOW with her. Thanks so much for sharing:o)

Thanks for sharing this special time and these amazing pictures. Alyssa is not only very beautiful, but her personality shines. Hope she had a fantastic time. Now the door opens to the next "semister" of her life. She is very blessed to have her mom in her cheering section.

Alyssa looks FABULOUS!!! I absolutely LOVE her short and sassy hair!

Hi Tena,
Hey I just have to tell you this. I took your 52 card pick up class last year. I LOVED it. Well, I finally posted my cards. I know I am late but, I couldn't post them. (dumb I know) but I wanted you to take a look if you have a minute. Loved the class and I LOVE my cards. daurenet

Sooo beautiful!!!!
That dress is GORGEOUS...on her, especially, and her hair, jewels, shoes, and even her date look awesome! How fun! SUCH an exciting time for these kids!!

How fun! It makes me want to go to prom all over again. Alyssa made a great choice on the dress - and the hair and makeup is a perfect compliment. Much to proud of there!
